Alston & Bird has been singled out by general counsel as one of the country’s most highly regarded law firm brands, ranking No. 14 among the 28 firms comprising the BTI Brand Elite 2016: Client Perceptions of the Best-Branded Law Firms. The report indicates that exemplary client service more than any other factor is the main determinant distinguishing the competitive strength of a firm’s brand.
The study, published by BTI Consulting Group, also notes that Alston & Bird was named by general counsel as one of only eight select firms they would recommend to other in-house counsel, with a majority citing client service excellence as their main reason for determining whether a firm has earned their recommendation.
In addition, the report names Alston & Bird to the exclusive list of only nine firms that inside counsel rank as the "best of the best" in providing premium-value services that generate extraordinary value, noting that superior client service is the No. 1 driver mentioned by in-house counsel as the basis for their selection.
As defined by the study’s participants, outstanding client service means putting client needs first, understanding their business, being responsive, delivering high value and meeting client goals.
The report findings underscore Alston & Bird’s client service leadership and marketplace differentiation, which were highlighted in another recent BTI survey. In that study — BTI Client Service All-Stars 2016 — three Alston & Bird partners were identified by corporate counsel as the best at serving clients.
Now in its 16th year of publication, the BTI Brand Elite 2016 relied on in-depth interviews with more than 600 legal decision makers at the world’s leading organizations with more than $1 billion in revenue and spanning more than 15 industries, including financial services, energy and insurance.
