The Georgia Planned Giving Council has honored Jack Sawyer, partner in Alston & Bird’s Wealth Planning Group, with this year’s Greater Good Award at the organization’s 12th annual awards luncheon.
Sawyer is a member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and the Georgia Planned Giving Council, where he serves as pro bono general counsel. He has served on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including the Georgia-Alabama Land Trust and the Horizon Theatre.
The award recognizes an individual who has been an outstanding member of Georgia’s philanthropic community and who has exhibited a commitment to increasing planned gifts to charities throughout the state.
