Lauren Burrow Named to PTAB Bar Association’s Inaugural “Top 50 Women in PTAB Trials”

Alston & Bird’s Lauren Burrow, senior associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, has been named to the PTAB Bar Association’s inaugural “Top 50 Women in PTAB Trials.”

The ranking honors lawyers in private practice and in-house who have appeared in the highest number of trial proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) since 2012.

Focusing her practice on preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign chemical-related patent applications, Burrow also represents petitioners and patent owners in PTAB inter partes review (IPR) proceedings.

In Patexia’s 2019 IPR Intelligence Report identifying the top 100 IPR law firms representing petitioners and patent owners, Burrow ranked first among the top 100 best-performing attorneys representing patent owners and ranked among the top 25 best-performing attorneys representing petitioners or patent owners.

The report further highlighted that over the past five years, Burrow has earned a 100 percent performance score and ranked first on the patent-owner side.

The PTAB Bar Association report is based on a two-year analysis by the group’s Women’s Committee. The attorneys profiled in the report will also be featured by the association in an upcoming report on Women at the PTAB, which studies gender diversity at law firms and companies participating in PTAB proceedings.
