James Alexander is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Financial Services & Products Group. With perspective gained working in government and with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, James is on the cutting edge of cybersecurity governance and corporate risk management. James advises clients on regulatory compliance requirements, complex financial transactions, and corporate governance decisions.
James received his J.D. and master of divinity dual degree from Vanderbilt University, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and Branstetter Litigation & Dispute Resolution fellow in the law school while also being named scholar and fellow in the divinity school. While pursuing his dual degree, James was an associate justice of the Moot Court Board, president of the Black Law Students Association, and a judge on the Appellate Review Board for the university, among other honors.
