As an associate in Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group, Marcos focuses his practice on complex patent, trademark, and copyright disputes. He represents clients in a variety of industries, including payment systems, financial and retail technology, food and beverage, telecommunications, and hospitality, in both federal court litigation and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Marcos served as a law clerk at The Coca-Cola Company and Prudential Financial, addressing issues involving both intellectual property and consumer products. Additionally, Marcos maintains an active and diverse pro bono practice.
Marcos received his J.D., with honors, from Emory University. While there, he served on the Emory Moot Court Society’s Intellectual Property Team and participated in the interdisciplinary TI:GER program, where he worked to transform highly promising biotechnology into economically viable products.
