Amir Askarian is a staff attorney with Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property – Patent Group.
Amir assists clients with complex patent and trademark matters across various industries. His breadth of IP knowledge covers an array of technologies including telecommunications networks, nanotechnology, computer architecture, medical devices, quantum computing, sensors, field-programmable gate array (FPGAs), and optical devices. He also has experience litigating matters before the International Trade Commission and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Amir earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, the University of Tehran, and George Washington University, respectively. He earned his J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbia School of Law while working as a patent agent.
