McKenzie Chen is a registered patent agent with Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property – Electrical & Computer Science Patents Group. Before joining the firm, McKenzie twice interned with NASA’s Software Robotics and Simulation Division at the Johnson Space Center where he implemented unit testing frameworks for embedded system software in conjunction with the Advanced Space Suit project and developed life support sensor simulations for the HERA and Orion projects.
McKenzie received his master of science degree in electrical engineering, with a focus in computer systems and software from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in biomedical engineering, with a concentration in bioinstrumentation from the University of Texas at Austin.
