Ha Chung is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Environment, Land Use & Natural Resources Group.
Ha spent three years as an air quality, climate, and acoustics technical analyst for Environmental Science Associates. Ha was responsible for drafting and editing air quality, greenhouse gas, and noise technical reports for California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents for high-profile mixed-use, airport, hospital, remediation, and community development projects. He also performed complex technical analysis under various South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) rules and regulations and local noise ordinances.
Ha received his J.D. from the University of Southern California. While in law school, Ha served as a legal intern for the County of Los Angeles’ Office of the County Counsel, where he handled CEQA documents such as environmental impact reports for various projects. He also served as the senior submissions editor for the Southern California Law Review.
Ha received his B.S. in environmental science from the University of California, Los Angeles and served as an intern for SCAQMD and the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, where he gained first-hand familiarity with various agency procedures and regulations.
