Chris Coleman is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Group. He represents distressed asset purchasers, creditors, debtors, and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings. Chris also represents clients in insolvency-related litigation, including state and federal court receiverships, avoidance actions, and commercial litigation. He also advises parties on insolvency issues stemming from strategic wind downs, workouts, and other significant transactions.
Chris began his legal career as a term clerk for the Honorable Marcia Phillips Parsons, former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee. In law school, Chris served as the managing editor for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and as an articles editor for the Tennessee Law Review.
