Erica Coray is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group with experience in insurance, biotech, and higher education. She represents clients in complex commercial litigation.
She previously served as a law clerk for Judge Denise J. Casper in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Before her clerkship, Erica was an associate at a litigation firm based in Boston, where she worked on complex litigation cases in a variety of jurisdictions. She also represented pro bono clients in cases involving restraining orders, asylum, civil rights violations, nonprofit organizations, and habeas corpus petitions.
Erica earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College, where she was editor in chief of the Journal of Law & Social Justice and a national winner of the Bloomberg Law Write-On Competition. While attending law school, Erica also took part in the Rappaport Fellows Program in Law and Public Policy, working on policy initiatives in the office of Boston city councilor Michelle Wu. Before law school, Erica worked for various nonprofit companies in the health care and biotech sectors.
