Ashley De Vance is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. She focuses on all areas of litigation and represents clients in state, federal, and arbitral forums. She has defended large corporations against various class action claims, including Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and unlawful billing. Ashley is a member of Alston & Bird’s Pro Bono Committee and Diversity Committee.
Ashley earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2019. While in law school, she worked for the USC International Human Rights Clinic as a member of the Refugee Rights Advocacy Team. She also served in several leadership positions, including community service chair for the Black Law Students Association and a peer mentor. She partnered with the International Refugee Assistance Project to help bring a class action against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for its mass denial of refugees. Ashley gained in-house counsel experience through an internship with Fox Group Legal.
Before law school, Ashley earned a master of education from the University of California, Los Angeles and worked as a high school social science teacher. She has a B.A. in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ashley has certificates in international and European business law and public interest law.
