As a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property – Mechanical Patents Group, Tyler McKendrick has industry experience in mechanical and technology design engineering. Before joining the firm, Tyler worked extensively with both the prosecution and litigation of patents and trademarks and wrote motions to dismiss, applications amendments, and responses to USPTO office actions. He is a registered patent agent and patent prosecutor.
Tyler received a B.S. in mechanical engineering, cum laude, from the University of Kentucky and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. While attending Vanderbilt, Tyler served as an authorities editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and was a member of the Vanderbilt Intellectual Property Association. Tyler is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
