Clynton Namuo is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Environment, Land Use & Natural Resources Team. In addition to his Environmental practice, Clynton also assists clients within the related field of general commercial litigation.
Clynton received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he was an associate articles editor for the Georgia State University Law Review and won the Georgia Intrastate Moot Court Competition. In addition, Clynton was an extern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia and worked in the Major Crimes division.
Prior to law school, Clynton was an award-winning journalist in New Hampshire and reported numerous high-impact stories, including an investigation into police-involved car crashes, which led to a change in state law to open crash records, and a series on how a city official gamed the state retirement system, which led to statewide reforms in how benefits were calculated. He received his undergraduate degree in journalism from Boston University.
