Nikita Varman is a policy advisor in Alston & Bird’s Health Care Legislative & Public Policy Group in Washington, D.C., focusing on health care legislative and regulatory issues affecting stakeholders across the industry.
Before joining the firm, Nikita was a research associate at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where she supported the research and writing activities of committees exploring various health care issues. She also previously worked as a government relations intern at Boston Children's Hospital.
Nikita is a member of the Boston University Scarlet Key Honor Society and a Posse Foundation Scholar. She holds undergraduate degrees in health science and political science and a master of public health in health policy and law (HPL) and in community assessment, program design, implementation, and evaluation (CAPDIE).
