Courtney Walter is an associate in the Compensation, Benefits and ERISA Litigation Group. She primarily focuses on defending clients facing litigation and government investigations involving employee benefits and related matters.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Courtney served at the U.S. Department of Labor as senior counsel in the Office of the Solicitor, where she provided the Solicitor of Labor and senior leadership with legal advice and counsel on various matters, including rulemaking, litigation, and legislation. She served a two-year federal clerkship for the Hon. Ursula Ungaro of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Before her clerkship, Courtney practiced civil litigation as an associate attorney for a boutique law firm in Miami.
Courtney attended the FIU College of Law, where she graduated as the valedictorian and served as the editor-in-chief of the FIU Law Review.
