Meet Liz Price - Atlanta Hiring Partner

  1. Why did you choose to practice law and how did you decide to practice in your particular area of law?

A combination of the draw of advocacy, psychology and theatrics. Perhaps if I had been funnier, I would have gone into stand-up comedy instead.

  2. What do you like best about being Hiring Partner?

Having been here my entire career, I love being involved in helping set the future course of the firm. When I get to meet and know our new lawyers, I am filled with incredible enthusiasm and hope for what the next century will bring for the firm and our profession.

  3. In your opinion, what makes Alston & Bird a great place to work?

Our mutual respect, admiration and affinity for each other.

  4. If there was one piece of (career) advice you could provide to a law student, what would it be?

If you can’t be who you really are wherever you are, then you are in the wrong place--trust your instincts on this one.

  5. What was the most memorable recruiting experience for you personally as a law student?

My first interview lunch as a second year law student, which involved politics, alcohol and eccentric family members.

  6. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Anything with my family-–biking, traveling, hanging out, reading books, etc.

  7. What is your favorite quote?

Patience, perseverance and perspective. It's more my motto than a quote.

  8. Who inspires you and why?

Everyone who works hard, tries their best and doesn’t give up.
