Alston & Bird’s Elizabeth Broadway Brown Named to Daily Report’s “On the Rise” Class of 2020

Elizabeth Broadway Brown, partner in Alston & Bird’s Litigation Group, has been named to the Daily Report’s “On the Rise” class of 2020, an elite group of Georgia’s most promising lawyers under the age of 40.

Recognized for her professional excellence and leadership, Brown focuses her practice on high-stakes class action and privacy litigation matters in health care, technology, and financial services in Georgia and nationwide.

Active in the legal community, Brown is the immediate past president of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, a voluntary bar organization of approximately 600 attorney, law student, and associate members across the state. She is also a member of the National Bar Association, National Association of Women Lawyers, Atlanta Bar Association, and the Gate City Bar Association.

Brown also serves as general counsel for the Morris Brown College Foundation and is a former advisory board member and volunteer attorney for Georgia’s Truancy Intervention Project, which provides pro bono legal services to youth facing truancy offenses and which has honored her as a “Volunteer of the Year” for her long-time service.

Earlier this year, Brown was named to the National Black Lawyers Top 100, and in 2019, she was awarded “Justice for All” honors by Rolling Out magazine as part of its inaugural awards program celebrating the achievements of Atlanta attorneys, judges, entrepreneurs, and civil leaders. She is also a recipient of the 2019 Nyota Tucker Distinguished Alumni Award from the Black Law Students Association at the University of Georgia School of Law.

The Daily Report’s annual “On the Rise” recognizes 40 outstanding attorneys age 40 and under who have made an impression on their colleagues, their clients, and the larger legal community. Winners are selected by the Daily Report’s editorial staff.
