Taking the pain out of grievances.
A logistics client needed help gathering and analyzing historical information on a large, complex labor agreement as part of an arbitration of grievances. This time-consuming effort typically involves sourcing data scattered among disparate document sources: negotiation-meeting minutes, previous arbitration decisions and previous versions of agreement language.
Built for security, searchability, and ease of use.
Alston & Bird created a secure tool that converted each article of the agreement into an online wiki format. Each relevant paragraph or sentence of the agreement linked to a page providing the list of historical documents that had been gathered and uploaded to the catalog.
From ad hoc to proactive.
Client managers and co-counsel used the tool to quickly access information that was repeatedly requested during arbitrations. No longer forced to search endlessly for relevant information, the client saw immediate cost savings in documentation requests as well as a reduction in hours required to seek out and retrieve related documents.
