Willa presented "FERC and CFTC: What the Evolving Regulatory Framework Means for Gas Trading Compliance Programs" on June 10. Her presentation examined the overlap and coordination between FERC and CFTC regarding gas trading and how their priorities affect compliance. Andrea presented "How to Respond to an Enforcement Proceeding" on June 11. Her panel discussed their experiences dealing with a FERC action and the valuable lessons that were learned.
A strong regulatory compliance culture is an essential aspect of organizations in the natural gas industry. Failure to properly comply and account for regulated actions can lead to a FERC action.
