Peter Floyd and Alston & Bird hosted this brown bag lunch featuring Ms. Suzanne Burnes, Executive Director of Sustainable Atlanta.
Ms. Burnes presented an overview of Sustainable Atlanta’s evolution toward a regional focus and its major program, including EcoDistrict (the Midtown EcoDistrict is the first) and Look Up Atlanta, which seeks to be a resource connecting people and organizations to share sustainability ideas and find sustainability services.
Ms. Burnes is a veteran with nearly two decades of environmental experience. Prior to joining Sustainable Atlanta, she served as the assistant director of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Sustainability Division. Ms. Burnes’ experience in the environmental field also includes consulting to U.S. EPA and the military on environmental cleanup and compliance issues.
