Marc Scheineson Quoted by Dow Jones

Marc Scheineson was quoted in a Dow Jones newswire article discussing recently passed legislation that paves the way for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to oversee the marketing and production of cigarettes in the United States. The bill is supported by health advocates and, conversely, big tobacco company Philip Morris, which, Scheineson notes, is “rolling the dice and calculating that whatever they pay to FDA and whatever regulations the FDA comes out with, they can survive it and some of their weaker competitors cannot survive it.”
