D.C. Office Collects Record Amount in Holiday Helpings Drive

Alston & Bird’s D.C. office recently held its annual Holiday Helpings fundraising event for Bread for the City, a nonprofit organization that provides vulnerable residents of the District with comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.

The D.C. office collected over $19,000 for the Holiday Helpings drive, which provided turkey dinners for area families in need. The Alston & Bird collection represented healthy holiday meals for 664 families this year.

George Jones and Kristin Valentine, executive director and development director, respectively, of Bread for the City, joined the D.C. office for a special Thanksgiving luncheon on Thursday, November 15, to raise funds for the effort.
