Alston & Bird Launches Pro Bono Coronavirus Resources Website

Alston & Bird has created a national Pro Bono Coronavirus Resources website to help nonprofits, community service advocates, and other public interest organizations manage their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online portal comprises a broad range of information, updates, and thought leadership created and curated by Alston & Bird attorneys and the firm’s COVID-19 Response & Relief Team. It also includes links to federal and state government resources and legal aid associations.

“The volume of legal challenges facing our communities in the wake of COVID-19 is truly astonishing,” said Alston & Bird Pro Bono Partner Mary Benton. “Since the start of the pandemic, our attorneys have generated an incredible amount of client guidance related to COVID-19. We are pleased to make that content and other COVID-19 resources available on our website and offer it to our pro bono partners and other volunteer organizations across the country to help them serve those in need.”

Topics covered by the website include summaries of the CARES Act, Paycheck Protection Program, Health Care Enforcement Act, and other federal legislation; a national tracker of each state’s reopening policies and operational requirements; links to criminal justice, civil rights, and immigration resources; and information on housing and homelessness assistance.
