Megan Byrd focuses her practice on handling complex commercial litigation matters . She works primarily with companies in the health care and manufacturing industries.

Before joining the firm, Megan served as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert J. Conrad, Jr. of the Western District of North Carolina and to the Hon. Phil Berger, Jr. of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

During law school, Megan served as chief articles and notes editor of the First Amendment Law Review and as a member of the Holderness Moot Court Intellectual Property team, where her team won “Best Brief” in the region and second place brief in the nation in the International Trademark Association’s Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition. She earned her J.D., with honors, from The University of North Carolina School of Law. Megan earned a B.S, summa cum laude, from North Carolina State University, where she was honored as a university valedictorian and awarded the Mathews Medal, the university’s highest non-academic distinction for significant contributions and service to the university.
