• Representing a medical revenue cycle management company in a complex multidistrict data breach class action, coordinating class certification briefing, discovery, expert workstreams, and associate teams.
• Advising a leading data analytics and risk management company in a nationwide consumer protection class action, including responsibility for motion practice and discovery strategy.
• Defending a major real estate finance and mortgage services company in a data breach class action arising from an alleged cybersecurity incident.
• Counsel to a leading wireless telecommunications provider in a mass arbitration proceeding arising from a fee dispute.
• Representing a health care technology and services company in a business to business contract dispute following a data breach.
• Advocating for survivors of domestic abuse in resentencing proceedings under Georgia’s Survivors Justice Act through an ongoing pro bono engagement with the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Erin Edwards  represents clients in complex, high stakes commercial and class action litigation in state and federal courts across the country, with a particular focus on data privacy, cybersecurity, multidistrict litigation, and large scale consumer disputes, including mass arbitration proceedings.

Erin oversees key aspects of large scale data breach and privacy class actions, including briefing and discovery, associate team management, and coordination with technical and damages experts to advance litigation strategy. Her experience includes defending claims under the Drivers Privacy Protection Act, the California Medical Information Act, and analogous state privacy statutes, as well as representing clients in nationwide consumer protection and cybersecurity class actions.

Erin also maintains an active pro bono practice. She partners with the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence to represent survivors of abuse seeking resentencing relief under Georgia’s Survivors Justice Act, including serving as counsel for the first successful petitioner under the statute.

Before joining Alston & Bird, Erin clerked for the Hon. Julia S. Gibbons of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was managing editor of the Virginia Law Review, a legal writing fellow, and inducted into the Order of the Coif.
