• Representing an insurance company in a defamation and anti-steering case filed by two auto body repair shops in Georgia alleging that the company’s acts defamed these shops and steered business away from these shops, resulting in tortious interference with a business relationship and a violation of the Georgia Uniform Deceptive Trade Practice Act.
• Represented a health insurance company in arbitration filed by a hospital regarding inpatient stays and the Two-Midnight Rule.
• Representing a car manufacturer in a putative class action alleging a lack of functionality from a software change for its home charging devices for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
• Represented a public hospital in a medical malpractice action alleging failure to properly treat a rattle snake bite resulting in the patient’s death.
• Represented an individual in a case involving a domestication of judgment in California and related matters.
• Representing a client in a class action alleging unjust enrichment, money had and received, fraudulent concealment, violation of the Washington Consumer Protection Act, violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, and breach of implied warranty.

Roby Jernigan focuses his practice on handling commercial litigation matters. Before joining the firm, Roby served as law clerk to the Hon. Lisa Godbey Wood of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Georgia.

Roby earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was an editorial board member of the Georgia Law Review and chairman of the UGA Law Moot Court Executive Board. As a member of the Appellate Litigation Clinic, he argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit on behalf of a client’s Eighth Amendment rights.
