Eric Pettis assists clients with complex patent and trademark disputes across industries, including medical devices, manufacturing, consumer products and commercial packaging. He has litigated a range of complex intellectual property disputes spanning a variety of cases related to patents, trademarks, and false advertising.

Eric also has experience in transactions involving intellectual property, data privacy, IT, and technology. He has negotiated technology contracts and IP licenses, and drafted and prosecuted patent applications.

Eric earned his J.D., with honors, from the Emory University School of Law, where he served as executive managing editor of the Emory Law Journal. Before law school, Eric received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and was a licensed Professional Engineer with leading engineering and professional services firms for commercial real estate and development.
