Funke Philip

• Advised a multibillion global fund of funds asset manager on its European and U.S. co-investments, and primary investments, including a $ 3.25 billion raise for a global secondaries fund.
• Advised a philanthropic institutional investor providing catalytic capital into a Singapore-based impact fund.
• Advised on the establishment of a pan-European venture capital fund which focuses on developing strategic asset–based businesses in western Europe.
• Advised a new investment manager on the establishment of its management entity and its first venture fund focused on investments in under-represented founders.

Funke Philip advises international fund managers and global institutional investors on the structuring, formation, and operation of private funds, primary investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions. Her clients are primarily in private equity, infrastructure, and real estate. Funke also has experience advising on the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) regulatory regime.

Earlier in her career, Funke was a regulatory associate at the UK Financial Conduct Authority. She was seconded to an international private equity fund where she worked on investment management transactions and financial services regulatory issues.
