• Member of the defense team for  an automobile manufacturer in a consumer class action in Michigan arising out of allegations related to excessive oil consumption in their pickup trucks.
• Member of the defense team for an automobile manufacturer  in multidistrict litigation in Miami following widely publicized vehicle recalls relating to allegedly defective Takata airbags.
• Member of the defense team representing a national medical group in multidistrict litigation arising from an alleged patient information breach.
• Member of the defense team for a global telecommunications company in an arbitration hearing involving a failed joint venture and claims exceeding $500 million.
• Member of the appeals team for an automotive manufacturer in the Supreme Court of Georgia, resulting in favorable decision regarding protective orders for depositions of high-ranking company officials in Georgia.
• Defending one of the nation's largest health care services companies in a lawsuit brought by a hospital for payment for out-of-network services.
• Defended a telecommunications company in ICC arbitration involving a scope of license agreement.
• Defended a pro bono client against Hobbes Act robbery charges, resulting in a sentence far below the federal sentencing guidelines.

Ava Goble Reeves is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. Ava joined the firm after serving as a law clerk for the Hon. Richard W. Story of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Ava earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Ava was on the editorial board of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and served as a teaching assistant. She was also the 2017 Billings, Exum, & Frye National Moot Court champion and won Best Oralist. Before law school, Ava worked as a paralegal at an immigration firm in New York. She received her B.A. in art history, cum laude, from New York University.
