• Represented a beverage company in an offensive trademark litigation, including a successful preliminary injunction against a much larger competitor in the Southern District of New York.

Emily Welch manages her clients’ large, complex litigations implicating a wide range of intellectual property rights and has litigated patents, trademarks, and trade dress cases to verdict.

With over 30 cases in the Eastern District of Texas in the past five years, plus appearances in California, Delaware, New York, Michigan, and Georgia, Emily is a comprehensive and experienced litigator who meets the needs of her clients, who range from telecommunications technology providers to retailers and restaurants, by providing holistic solutions for their IP needs inside and outside of the courtroom that move business forward while protecting their core business objectives.

Emily received her J.D. from Georgetown University, cum laude. Emily earned her B.S. in international affairs and modern languages with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010.

Outside of the courtroom, Emily is a member of the Georgia Tech Bar Association, participates in updates to the AIPLA Model Patent Jury Instructions, and volunteers pro bono legal services to the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN).
