Tracy Yao is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Tracy served as an honors program deputy attorney general in the appeals, writs and trials section of the criminal division of the California Attorney General’s Office. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Sheila K. Oberto of the Eastern District of California and as a judicial extern for the Hon. Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar of the Supreme Court of California and the Hon. Lamar Baker of the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, Division 5.
Tracy earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law. While in law school, Tracy served as a submissions editor and staff editor of the Journal of Law & Technology. She earned her B.A., cum laude, in legal studies and politics.
