David Teske helps his clients exploit technology assets and intellectual property rights through complex inbound and outbound transfer and licensing transactions. His work involves patent and software licensing, supporting M&A transactions through IP portfolio diligence, establishing end-customer-facing technology licensing schemes, and counseling clients on how to establish, exploit, and maintain their IP portfolios. He represents clients of all sizes, and often represents purchasers of cloud-based services and fintech industry companies.
As co-leader of the firm’s Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technology Team, David understands and regularly assists clients with their blockchain/distributed ledger technology needs. He also helps companies with strategies for using and developing open source software, distributed computing (e.g., “anything as a service” or XaaS), and artificial intelligence (AI), and navigating the evolving legal issues in each area.
