Mark Kanaly and Dwight Smith presented "An Update on the FDIC Resolution Process and its Effects on Bank Consolidation" on January 31, 4:15pm - 5:10pm. This session reviewed the FDIC's resolution practices over the past year, particularly including loss-sharing agreements with acquirers and the new policy statement on private equity investments. Participants discussed the pros and cons of the FDIC practices for existing bank acquirers and for new entrants to the banking industry, and strategic opportunities for banks to take advantage of in the current environment. On February 2, Randy Moore presented "Top 10 Factors Impacting M&A in 2010" at the conference.

Attendees heard from fellow bankers who outlined their growth successes and failures. Candid advice from recognized advisers was offered on capital formation, organic growth and private equity.
