Bundling Demonstrations for Post-Acute Care in the Affordable Care Act

Michael Park presented this tutorial sponsored by the American Health Lawyers Association for the Long Term Care, Senior Housing, In-Home Care, and Rehabilitation Practice Group Members. The Affordable Care Act includes many demonstration projects designed to test new payment schemes for post-acute care providers. Key among them is the bundling (demonstration) PILOT project. This presentation described the bundling proposal, explained its goals and objectives, and advised post-acute care providers on how to ready themselves to participate in the demonstration and to be poised to work with bundling should the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) decide to implement it.
