Please join us for a series of educational sessions for our clients and friends on the General Data Protection Regulation. The GDPR Roadmap series is a combination of webinar and in-person events designed to provide you with the critical information you need to assess and address the myriad issues raised by the passage and implementation of the GDPR. The series will be co-chaired by Peter Swire, senior counsel. Other speakers from the firm and community will join us throughout the series.

This session will explore the implementation of the EU/U.S. Privacy Shield and the impact it and the GDPR will have on data transfers to the U.S. so that companies can comprehensively address one of the core issues they will face in the coming months and years as both the Privacy Shield and GDPR are brought into full force.

Planning to Implement the GDPR: What Companies Should Do First

This overview is intended to allow you to prioritize your implementation efforts under the GDPR. We will highlight new concepts, privacy rights and intersections with national law, all with a view to allowing you to decide what to address first and how to design your GDPR compliance plan.

Programs will begin at 1:00pm ET
Login information will be provided to participants in advance of each program.

CLE
Programs are provided as a complimentary service to clients and friends of Alston & Bird. CLE credit is provided for Georgia, Texas, California, New York, Pennslyvannia and Missouri. Additional states are available upon request.

CPE
Webinars are also pre-approved for 1 CPE credit. Attendees requesting CPE credit will need to self-report after the event by filling out the CPE Submission Form on the IAPP website once you have logged into your privacyassociation.org account.
