Ted Kang was a key speaker during the session “Trump’s DOJ - How Will You Keep Your Company In Compliance?” at this event hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel.

New administrations often cause anxiety for corporate leaders and in-house counsel charged with maintaining corporate compliance and planning for what to expect from the new DOJ. In early February, President Trump’s DOJ’s Criminal Fraud Section gave a glimpse into what it will expect from companies’ corporate compliance programs by issuing an eight-page document titled “Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs.” This program discussed what the DOJ memo means for corporate compliance going forward, as well as other enforcement priorities in the Trump Administration. Takeaways included practical guidance for developing and maintaining corporate compliance programs, priorities for the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice, DOJ Compliance Expert Hui Chen priorities, and an enforcement update.
