Businesses that collect and process consumer data, with PII regularly at the heart of such data, must comply with an ever-changing body of data security laws to reduce the risk of breach. Companies nonetheless hit by a data breach should act quickly to secure their systems, respond to their customers, and prepare to defend themselves from lawsuits. This panel of attorneys and regulators will discuss what security measures the laws require and what business practices best prepare for and respond to the breaches that occur when security measures fail.
