William Hao will be a panelist for “A Primer on U.S. Bankruptcy and Intellectual Property Transactions,” a presentation and panel discussion program co-sponsored by the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s Asia Practice, Intellectual Property, and Commercial Bankruptcy and Restructuring Committees. The program will address the basics of intellectual property transactions involving distressed companies in the U.S. The panel will provide an overview of U.S. bankruptcy and intellectual property law and explore potential issues, risks, and considerations with licensing and purchasing intellectual property when parties are financially distressed. It will also address issues that may affect Chinese and other foreign companies engaging in such transactions.
