Mark Williamson and Margaret Scott served as institute faculty and presented the session “Benevolence vs. Bloodline: Creative Solutions Involving Charitable Lead Trusts and Charitable Remainder Trusts” at this meeting hosted by the University of Miami School of Law’s Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning. The session provided a thorough analysis of the tax and non-tax advantages and disadvantages of charitable split-interest trusts.
