Clark Calhoun, Matt Hedstrom, Kendall Houghton, and John Coalson will participate in this event hosted by the Vanderbilt University Law School.
Clark Calhoun will speak on the panel discussion entitled “The State of Transfer Pricing Examinations: A Muddying of Law and Logic.” State tax agencies continue to conduct transfer pricing examinations, even though they often lack the necessary resources or expertise to review the intercompany transactions. This presentation will explore U.S. and global intent in developing the Comparable Profits Method (CPM) and explain why simplified CPM approaches rarely predict arm’s-length pricing.
Matt Hedstrom will speak on the panel discussion entitled “Protecting Confidentiality and Audit Readiness.” This panel will discuss best practices for protecting confidentiality while also taking full advantage of the remedies and rights available to taxpayers. The speakers will cover tips for audit readiness, including the management of confidential and privileged information.
Kendall Houghton serves on the board of trustees and John Coalson is an Emeritus Trustee.
