Join our Health Care Group Chair Sarah Ernst and former head of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Division Jody Hunt for a conversation on the government’s view of private equity (PE) firms in its enforcement priorities.
Jody, who is most recently the Senate-confirmed assistant attorney general for the DOJ Civil Division, joined the firm in July and will provide background on his past roles and insight into how the DOJ views PE firms and their portfolio companies across a range of regulated industries, from health care to government contractors to financial services. The conversation will explore how PE firms can better protect themselves if they or their companies are involved in an investigation, considerations when acquiring or selling a company under investigation, and how to maintain a best-in-class compliance culture to mitigate risks in the first instance.
