The Association of Corporate Counsel – CT Chapter in conjunction with Alston & Bird present a complimentary program on: Discussing the DOJ’s Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative.

Ted Kang will moderate a conversation between Jody Hunt and Kellen Dwyer on the DOJ’s newly announced Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative. Jody will offer his perspective on the civil side as former assistant attorney general for the DOJ’s Civil Division, while Kellen will provide key insights on the cyber front as former deputy assistant attorney general for the DOJ’s National Security Division.

Topics will include:

  • How the DOJ plans to use the False Claims Act (FCA) to enforce cyber security and breach reporting provisions in government contracts
  • What companies can do to mitigate risk of FCA liability for their cybersecurity practices
  • Whether the new initiative will complicate efforts to cooperate with the DOJ on data breaches
