Duncan Douglass will speak at the “Spotlight Session: Recent Developments in Electronic Payments Law” on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. The session will address staying abreast of the numerous and often complex developments in the legal and regulatory framework for payments and the significant legal issues raised by current developments in electronic payments law.
Jennifer Aguilar will speak at the session “Unauthorized or Not: Understanding Regulation E Fraud Liability” on Monday, May 2, 2022. This session will analyze a variety of fraud schemes, including those involving P2P transactions and imposter scams, to help give you the tools to determine whether a transaction is unauthorized. This session will take an in-depth look at Regulation E’s definition of unauthorized EFTs, cover CFPB guidance, discuss how Regulation E impacts MSBs, and highlight recent supervisory findings.
