In celebration of Juneteenth, join us for a conversation with Habitat for Humanity International’s Natosha Reid Rice and Boston College Law School Professor Thomas Mitchell. They’ll explore the significance of Juneteenth and legacies of slavery – including land loss, housing instability, income equality and lack of economic mobility – and provide reasons for hope. Attendees will hear how legal regimes limited wealth generation and led to inequality in property ownership and learn how pro bono volunteering can help close the wealth gap that persists today.
