Alston & Bird Tops Corporate Equality Index for Ninth Straight Year

Alston & Bird has received a top rating of 100 percent from the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) 12th annual Corporate Equality Index. This is the ninth year in a row that Alston & Bird has received HRC’s perfect rating.

“One of the great dangers to civil rights is complacency,” said Alston & Bird Managing Partner Richard Hays. “By achieving a perfect CEI score for the ninth year in a row, the firm has proven a consistent commitment to the critical issue of LGBT equality, again meeting a very high bar that we set for ourselves nearly a decade ago.”

HRC is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve LGBT equality, with more than one million members and supporters nationwide. Founded in 1980, HRC advocates on behalf of LGBT Americans, mobilizes grassroots actions in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect fair-minded individuals to office and educates the public about LGBT issues.
