Gregg Loubier Highlights Real Estate Crowdfunding Risks in Law360

Real estate crowdfunding is becoming more accessible but not without risks. One platform even designed a secured structure to respond to investor concerns such as what would happen to assets if the crowdfunding venture folded.

“That may well be adopted by others in the market to address investor concern,” said Gregg Loubier, partner in Alston & Bird’s Commercial Real Estate Lending Group. “I personally believe that this industry is poised to compete with some of the more traditional sources.”
