Corporate Counsel has once again recognized Alston & Bird as a leader in patent litigation.
In the publication’s 2015 Patent Litigation Survey, the firm placed eighth overall for the number of U.S. patent lawsuits it handled in federal district courts in 2014, with a total of 60 cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.
The survey captures which firms are most active in patent litigation based on the previous year’s court filings.
This is the most recent in a series of awards earned by the firm in recent months for its Intellectual Property Practice. In September, the firm was singled out by general counsel as a “powerhouse” in IP ligation in BTI Consulting’s Litigation Outlook 2016. And in June the firm was recognized as a global leader in patent law in the 2015 edition of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals, marking the fourth consecutive year that Alston & Bird has earned this recognition. Additionally, earlier in the year the firm was named “International Trade Commission Firm of the Year” by Managing Intellectual Property.
