In the publication’s 2016 Patent Litigation Survey, Alston & Bird ranks No. 7 among the 31 top-ranked patent litigation defense firms, with 51 federal district court cases last year.
Overall, the firm handled a total of 58 cases for both defendants and plaintiffs in 2015, ranking No. 11 among the top 25 firms representing clients in patent litigation.
The survey captures which firms are most active in patent litigation based on the previous year’s court filings.
In addition to the Corporate Counsel ranking, other recent accolades earned by Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property Practice include recognition of the firm’s attorneys as “IP Stars” by Managing Intellectual Property magazine and being named among the top 5 U.S. patent litigation defense firms by Lex Machina.
