Alston & Bird announced today that Mariana Loose has joined the firm as chief marketing officer.
Based in Alston & Bird’s New York office, Loose will lead the firm’s strategic business development and growth, marketing, branding, and client relationship efforts, as well as corporate, media, and marketing communications.

Loose brings more than two decades of global business development and marketing leadership in the legal industry. She arrives from Jackson Lewis PC, where she had been the CMO and led the marketing and business development function across the firm.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis in 2016, Loose served for four years as the director of marketing and business development at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
She also had successive tenures in leadership positions in marketing and business development at Linklaters LLP, Allen & Overy LLP, and Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP.
A graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz, Loose holds an M.B.A. from the Baruch College Zicklin School of Business.
Loose succeeds Mark Thompson, who is retiring after years of service as Alston & Bird’s CMO.
