Grain Management Acquires Conexão Group

Alston & Bird client Grain Management LLC, a leading private investment firm focused on broadband technology and the global communications sector, has acquired Conexão Group, one of Brazil’s largest and fastest-growing high-speed internet service providers.

Conexão provides a range of internet, cable TV, voice service, and IT services to 450,000 residential subscribers and more than 20,000 corporate clients. The acquisition gives Grain Management a platform for organic growth and acquisitions in a rapidly expanding market that is the center of many telecommunication opportunities in Latin America.

Founded in 2007, Grain Management focuses on opportunities in mission-critical telecommunications assets, both in the U.S. and abroad, and equity investments in companies that own and operate them. Since its founding, the firm has managed more than $6 billion across its investment vehicles.
